Everyday I'm tumblin'

Since Angelique gave me the idea to post this on Tumblr as well, I figured, why not?

Here’s a little story about my kitten Lucy, who is turning seven months old tomorrow. I adopted her from THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF NORTH TEXAS on November 27, 2011. The two pictures on the far left are when I first brought her into my home. They guaranteed if there was anything wrong with her within’ 30 days, they would pay for and cover all my vet costs. In the middle, December 4 through 11 2011, highlight two pictures of her when she caught a cold, had mange, and ringworm all at once. They knew she had problems, and once they identified it was me calling them, they would hang up on me immediately. Whenever I called from a different number, the moment they had a hint it was me, they would hang up. As a student, paying the expensive vet bills was difficult, especially since I couldn’t pay for the extra treatments that would’ve cost me much more. Vets advised me to put her to sleep (I couldn’t tell if it was a ruse just to get me to pay the extra money or not though, but obviously hearing something like that worried me a lot), because of how bad her condition escalated. On top of that, I’d caught mange from her. Getting us both treated wasn’t easy, considering I didn’t have health insurance at the time. The two pictures on the right highlight her two weeks ago. She is doing well, she’s as playful as ever. I think she was worth the struggle. Me and my friend are proud owners of this kitten.
